The Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs proudly presents an annual workshop series with Unique Photo of Fairfield to celebrate Essex County Blooms. Learn to photograph different flowers at their peak while enjoying a day in the Park! All levels of experience are welcome. Space is limited.  $75/session.

 Part 1: Cherry Blossoms

April 15 from 6-8pm Lecture (in store)

April 16 from 9am to 1pm Photographing (in Park)

 

Celebrate the arrival of spring by honing your photography skills in the fresh air at Essex County Branch Brook Park, Newark.  Rick Gerrity will instruct. Gerrity has a passion for transforming seemingly ordinary, everyday moments into extraordinary images. His client list includes BMW, Canon USA, IBM, Panasonic and Bausch and Lomb.  

 

 

Part 2: Irises

May 20 from 6-8pm Lecture (in store)

May 21 from 9am to 1pm Photographing (in Park)

 

Learn how to photograph the world-renowned "rainbow on the hill" at the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Gardens, Upper Montclair in the best light. Tamron will have lenses available for students to test various shooting techniques. Ken Hubbard, Advertising and Trade Show Supervisor for Tamron, will instruct. Hubbard not only has a disciplined sense of composition and technique but also has intimate knowledge of new products and technology.

 

Part 3: Roses

June 10 from 6-8pm Lecture (in store)

June 11 from 9am to 1pm Photographing (in Park)

 

Stop to smell the roses in the Essex County Brookdale Park Rose Garden, Montclair and capture the beauty of this delicate flower in a photograph that you will remember forever. Olympus will have loaner cameras for students to test various shooting techniques. John Isaac will instruct. As a United Nations Photographer from 1978 to 1998, Isaac has traveled the globe capturing a cornucopia of cultural diversity. Now he spends his time focusing on the wondrous and colorful varieties of people, places and wildlife.
